Donothing Records is a DIY cassette label based out of Austin TX. It was started in late 2020 to act as a service for independent musicians wanting to release physical merch without the risk of losing money.
Streaming services don’t offer most small artists a realistic way to earn money from their music. Donothing was created to give them an opportunity to get merch made at no cost to themselves. I only work with artists I love and believe in, and I put up the money to get merch made. We split any revenue (not profit) made from sales straight down the middle, 50/50.
No streaming cut, no contracts, just handshake deals and handmade goods.
